Wow, this plant is bigger than my two!!

I can't believe how fast this plant has grown! We were out taking pictures of the garden and I wanted to take a picture next to something so you can imagine the size. Scout and Finch were the perfect solution!

The Dog Days of Summer

Finch loves going to our neighbor's house and retrieving the ball! She runs very fast and it's great exercise for her!

Staying cool

I think Scout and Finch's favorite activity is sitting in the backyard and watching the animals (of course, they would LOVE to be able to chase them!)

My two love their treats....what dog doesn't?? The latest scare (of tainted dog food and treats) has given me motivation to make their treats. I opened up a shop on Etsy to sell my treats to other concerned dog owners.

Scout and Finch have had lots of fun "testing" the treats!

Life as a dog

Scout loves to sit outside and just ponder life. We have had beautiful weather for the past few days, and Scout loves to sit outside and watch her silly sister catch balls.
Finch likes to walk around with the ball (or frisbee) in her mouth. On the plus side, it helps muffle her barks! Yes, she even barks with the ball/frisbee in her mouth...silly dog!

Mom, will you please buy us a bigger bed??

Scout and Finch usually "take turns" sleeping on this bed. For the past week they have been sleeping together! Yes, they sleep with their head hanging off the bed. :)

when can we come out??

We built gates, on our deck, so our Cairn Terriers could have a place to play and spend time outdoors (we don't have a fenced in yard yet). I was watering some plants today and I shot this picture. Finch (left) always sticks her head through the rails....cracks me up! Scout (right) likes to lie down and rest her head on the bottom rail.

Where did all the warm weather go?? Scout and Finch have been enjoying the nice weather but now it's in the 20's! Finch doesn't seem to care if it's cold out, but Scout wants to come inside as soon as she is outside!

Scout is 5 years old today!

My April Fool's Cairn is now 5 years old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone with her.

It's my Birthday!!!!

Finch is 3 years old today! She was given a new toy, a new collar, and a birthday cookie!

The sun feels great!

It's in the 60's today, and will be in the 70's Monday and Tuesday......time for play outside!
